2009 - GOLF MEMBERSHIPS

18 HOLE MEMBERSHIP

            Requires an annual donation to the golf club.  (Usually $10 but sometimes varies).

            Automatically includes eligibility for participation in all nine hole events.

            Must have membership in the NCGA.  NCGA fee can be paid to our SIR branch golf club with the annual donation, or can be paid through another golf club.

9 HOLE MEMBERSHIP

            Requires the annual donation to the golf club as above.  One donation covers both the 18 hole and 9 hole memberships.

GUESTS

            Guest rules apply for eighteen hole events. Guests may play a maximum of three times a year.  May not earn closest-to-the-hole prizes or Club Championship points.

ENTERING GOLF EVENTS

SIGN-UP tournaments are those that do not have a due date in our schedule!  For these events (all 9 hole events and all at Boundary Oak), you must either print your name on the paper sign-up list or phone the Golf Phone Line.  Put an “x” after your name or say, if you want a power cart.  Sign-up sheets usually are available several weeks in advance of events at the monthly luncheons and at the events themselves.  To be guaranteed of a spot, you must sign up by noon of the Thursday before the tournament for eighteen hole events, and by Sunday night for nine hole events.  Golf fees are paid to the golf shop.

PAY-IN-ADVANCE tournaments are those that have a due date and a fee in our schedule.  To be guaranteed a spot, you must have your check in the golf Post Office Box, by the DUE DATE.  (A very few events are limited to a fixed number, and entries will be cut off when that number is reached, regardless of date.)  Checks only, separate check for each event, made out to:  SIR Branch 116 Golf.  Unless noted otherwise, your fee includes a power cart.  If you must cancel, call the Golf Phone Line ASAP -do not call or e-mail the Organizer.  We will attempt to fill your spot and if possible, refund your money.  If cancelled by the due date, refund is guaranteed.  If cancelled after the due date, refund will be made only if the club is not obligated to the course for the fee.

Late Entry:  Late entry (after the deadline) is possible by calling the Golf Phone Line and sending in your check.  If there are no open spots, you will be put on a waiting list.
