"MS Word Photo Albums" By Dwight Sale

"Inserting Photos in E-mails" by Phil Goff

Dwight Sale in his presentation detailed a way to produce pages such as you would find in a photograph album all within Microsoft Word.

He started by setting up a page into which he inserted photos from file. He showed how to crop and otherwise adjust the photos.

Then using Word he added captions and other descriptive material.

Using photography paper the print is ready for the album. He sticks two pages together back to back. The samples that he displayed were very nice. The presentation is posted on the web site.

Phil Goff’s presentation was entitled “Tips for Attaching or Inserting Pictures in Emails”. He said to consider your audience. Don’t send the uncompressed file except in special cases.  Normally 200-300 ppi is fine.

He explained ways to resize photo’s and how to mail them using Windows Explorer or if you have it, PhotoShop Elements.

Dick Curry addressed several interesting questions during a short session, including ways to set up your email inbox. How to deal with lines of email text that run off the page, and how to delete a long list of items, in this case 600 hits by a spam filter.

Nothing is as good as being there to get the full benefit of  the presentations and the Q&A sessions.  Please note the links to the presentations above.
